TIME: 11pm to 1am
WHERE: Pawtuckaway Lake 8 Indian Run Nottingham NH.
WHY: To enjoy the Super Wolf Lunar Eclipse & share geocaching stories if you wish.
I will use some glow sticks along the road to help you with directions. You will leave Rte 156 and pull onto Dolloff Dam Rd. You will follow that until you go RIGHT uphill on Lamprey Dr. You will follow that until you go LEFT downhill on Indian Run.
* We will not be finding any caches, however there are plenty for you to find nearby before or after the event. *
Does the night sky amaze you in wonder and awe? Do you like caching at night or simply joining other cachers to share our adventurous stories? Perhaps a perfect opportunity to combine the two. Tonight there will be a Lunar Eclipse beginning just after 9:30pm and ending shortly after 12:30am on January 21st. You are not required to stay the full length of the event & may leave any time after signing the log book. I will have a small fire going to help keep us warm.
I suggest wearing Winter gear, bringing any supplies you may need/want (example: camera, lawn chair, blanket, hot chocolate, marshmellows) and paying close attention to the weather conditions. The weather forecast is predicting significant snow for the next few days and is the reason I have moved my event from South Mountains Fire Tower to my yard. I will cancel this event if the weather carries over into Sunday making driving conditions too risky. Hopefully we will have warm temperatures & a night sky sparkling with stars and a Super Wolf Moon for all of us to enjoy.
Please be careful on any icy spots in my driveway/yard. I will do the best I can to prevent any icy areas. Park along the driveway but do not park in the neighbors drive. Please do not block anyone in when you park. Head out to the front of the house by walking up the driveway alongside the house.
