For years there was only one geocacher - and her beloved dog - who was based in Ballan. It was in January 2010 that Kinkell1, aka Sue, first celebrated her birthday with a geocaching event in this park. Ever since then, there was a birthday event here every year. (In addition, Sue also had a few parties for Tilley in the same spot!) In 2019 it is the 10th time that we are using this location to celebrate her birthday and those of the geo community!
After last year’s event we were told that a number of friends would like us to continue the tradition, so, here it is again: HAPPY BIRTHDAY everyone! Let’s celebrate life, geocaching and friendship by creating new memories.
Don’t forget Sue's motto: “No presents, just your presence required.”
The park offers plenty of space for children and dogs to run around, a playground, shelter with tables, 2 electric barbecues, some seating, toilets and parking. If you feel like it, you could even stay on for a dip in the local swimming pool or a round of golf nearby.
As January can be hot, make sure you keep up the water and seek out the shade to hide from the sun.
