While the event is free, standard daily and annual gate fees are $7/$50 for in-state and $12/$70 for out-of-state visitors. Winter visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing, camping, hiking, snowshoeing, birding, a full-service Nature Center with exhibits, a library, live animals, bird feeder viewing, and of course geocaching!

Artists of the Indiana Dunes

The beauty of the Indiana Dunes has been inspiring many different kinds of artists for over 100 years!  Many of these artists's work and words have helped move the apprecation and later preservation of this special place along the southern shore of Lake Michigan. Throughout the day participants will be challenged to not only experience their own art, but also enjoy presentations from dunes artists of today. Join us for a fun day where you will leave with an increased appreciation of this rich heritage of Indiana Dunes artists. Prizes will be awarded to those that find the most and complete the bonus challenges!

12th ANNUAL CHILI DUMP

Bring your favorite chili dish to dump into the kettle.  FISHING BEAR & CO will slow heat it all day over an open fire for dinner later. The last 11 year's chilli have been delicious after a cold day in the field!  Hot drinks will be available in the Nature Center all day to warm you up.  Bring any other drinks you may want.  Eating and drinking utensils will be provided.
