The Micro Container Gift Exchange is totally optional. Stop by even if you don't want to participate in exchange.
The Event is 10:00-10:30 am on December 22nd at Strawberry Acres Park. There's plenty of parking along Clarion Avenue. There's also an additional parking lot closer to McCord Road.
Now for the rules if participating in the exchange:
1. What you need to do before you arrive at the event.
a. Put together a cache that you can go and hide somewhere within a reasonable distance (10 miles) from the event. This cache can be swag items, gift cards, geocachings items, or just about anything you can think of as a gift to another cacher.
b. Go and hide the cache for the cacher to find as their gift from you. Do Not post this hide on the geocaching website, it is only for a single use. Do this the day before or the morning of the event.
c. Write down the coordinates of your cache on a log sheet, your name, and contact information and put it inside a micro container that you will bring with you to the event. This way if the cacher needs to phone for some helpful hints they can.
2. Come to the event with your micro container with the coordinates & contact information listed inside.
a. I will collect all of the containers and put them into a hat for each cacher to pick from.
b. Talk and mingle with the other cachers until we start drawing containers.
c. Ensuring not to pick your own container, open up the container and off on your caching adventure you go.
d. Once you find the hidden cache it is your gift so please take the whole cache with you.
