Associação do Mosteiro Traditional Geocache

A Rede das Aldeias do Xisto é um projeto de desenvolvimento sustentável, de âmbito regional, liderado pela ADXTUR- Agência para o Desenvolvimento Turístico das Aldeias do Xisto, em parceria com 21 Municípios da Região Centro e com cerca de 100 operadores privados que atuam no território.

Estado presentes em quatro Unidades de Paisagem (Serra da Lousã, Serra do Açor, Zêzere e Tejo-Ocreza), as Aldeias do Xisto representam um belíssimo património cultural e natural. Com vastas possibilidades que vão desde a gastronomia à etnografia, das ruralidades e da ligação à natureza e à floresta, as Aldeias do Xisto têm enorme potencial turístico e não só.

O projeto Geocaching Aldeias do Xisto propõe aumentar a oferta de pontos de interesse associados a esta prática da caça ao tesouro do sec. XXI. Pretende dotar cada aldeia com pelo menos duas caches e integrar algumas já existentes em circuitos e percursos pedestres.

The Schist Villages area is a region of Portugal’s interior that has successfully been promoted to tourists. The brand is managed by the ADXTUR association, the Agency for the Touristic Development of the Schist Villages, and brings together 21 Municipalities of the central region of Portugal, and more than 100 private local operations, which all share the common strategy of promoting and revitalising an area where schist stone dominates the landscape.

Present in four Landscape Units (Serra da Lousã, Serra do Açor, Zêzere and Tejo-Ocreza), the Schist Villages represent a beautiful cultural and natural heritage. With vast possibilities ranging from gastronomy to ethnography, rurality and the connection to nature and to the forest, the Schist Villages have enormous touristic potential, among others.

The Geocaching Schist Villages Project proposes to increase the offer of points of interest associated with this practice treasure hunting of the XXI century. It intends to equip each village with at least two caches and integrate some already existent in circuits and pedestrian routes.

Mosteiro é uma pequena localidade de cariz rural, onde a água e a agricultura são elementos fundamentais que condicionaram positivamente o seu desenvolvimento, possuindo o maior regadio do concelho de Pedrógão Grande. A Aldeia do Mosteiro desenvolveu-se na margem direita da ribeira de Pera.

A implantação da povoação neste local tirou partido da configuração aberta do vale com a consequente disponibilização de terrenos agrícolas. Dividida pela ribeira, a parte da aldeia na margem esquerda apresenta uma malha urbana complexa e difusa que apenas se estrutura em redor da pequena igreja do recente edifício da Associação do Mosteiro ou da estrada que atravessa a povoação.

Mosteiro is a small rural village, where water and agriculture are fundamental elements that positively conditioned its development, possessing the largest irrigated area of Pedrógão Grande. Mosteiro developed on the right bank of the river Pera.

The implantation of the village in this place took advantage of the open configuration of the valley with the consequent availability of agricultural fields. Divided by the river, the part of the village on the left bank presents a complex and diffuse urban network that is only structured around the small church and the recent building of the Cultural Organization Mosteiro the road that crosses the village.
