WHAT The Auto City Cachers and the Genesee County Parks would like to invite you to attend the 2019 Genesee County Parks Event. This is our annual event in the county parks! This year's event will be held at Cummings Center (Genesee County Fairgrounds). Camping spaces are abundant. Stay Friday and/or Saturday nights. There are plenty of geocaches nearby!

CAMPING The Genesee County Parks have made Cummings Center (County Fairgrounds) available for camping for the 2019 Genesee County Parks Event on Friday, May 17th and Saturday, May 18th. The cost is $21 per night for Genesee County residents ($23 non-residents). You may camp either or both days. Check in time is 3:00 PM and check out time is 5:00 PM. The deadline to register for camping is Friday, May 17th at noon.

All sites have electricity. However, water is limited. Be sure to fill your tanks ahead of time.
Dump station may not be opened.
EVENT SCHEDULE 8:00 - 9:00 AM Registration/GPS Loading
  • Register - Get your prize drawing tickets and meet with caching friends for good conversation. Trade your stories, tags and trackable items. Purchase your raffle tickets.  Don't miss out, this year we will be raffling off a Kayak along with many other must have items.  Each geocaching team will receive one free event tag during registration!
  • GPS Loading - Have your GPS loaded with this years unpublished caches.  (One GPS per person max.)  We are introducing a new Park Run caching adventure along with the other 100 plus existing Genesee County Park geocaches!   

8:45 AM - Park Run Orientation -  We are excited to introduce our new Park run Series.  We will be featuring eight of the Genesee County Parks.  In these featured parks we are placing new caches one of which will contain a stamp.  Rules will be discussed at this time so don't miss this meeting.

9:00 AM - GPS's Returned and Park Run cards passed out - If you choose to participate in the Park Run cards must be turned back in by 4:30 PM

5:00 PM -  Dinner Time - Winners, awards and prizes will be presented following the pot luck.  Our sponsors have donated lots of cool prizes! Have your winning ticket ready!  **Prize table donations accepted at the event.
 
6:30 PM Geocache Hunting - There's still plenty of daylight. Go find a few more geocaches - if you're up to it!

FOOD & DRINK Potluck Dinner! - Bring a dish to pass. ACC will supply the hotdogs, buns, condiments, paper plates, utensils, napkins and water.   Bring any other drinks that you wish.

**NOTE: No alcohol or illegal substances are allowed. Park rangers will issue tickets with fines of up to $100 for all violations.

WHAT TO BRING
  • Pot luck items (see Food & Drink above)
  • Donations for the Chinese Raffle
  • Travel Bugs to be "Discovered", "Dropped" or "Grabbed".
  • Signature items and collectables to show tell & trade.
  • Caching gear
  • Mosquito, Tic and/or Fly Spray
  • A cable for loading YOUR own GPS
GEO-PETS Pets are welcome in the Genesee County Parks but must be on a 6 foot leash held by their two legged friend at all times.  We particularly ask that you refrain from having your pet in the Potluck area.   Thank you for understanding.

ATTENTION SMART PHONE USERSPlease know how to load a GPX file sent to your phone before you come to the Event.  Although there may be someone available to help you it may delay your start time.
