Traditional Crossword Puzzles:
From wikipedia: A crossword is a word puzzle that usually takes the form of a square or a rectangular grid of white-and black-shaded squares. The game's goal is to fill the white squares with letters, forming words or phrases, by solving clues, which lead to the answers. The answer words and phrases are placed in the grid from left to right and from top to bottom. The shaded squares are used to separate the words or phrases. An example of a completed grid is below (clues not shown)

And now...

Everyone loves anagrams! And crossword puzzles too. So why not combine them? The rules in this variant are the same as traditional crosswords EXCEPT the letters you enter into the grid can form an ANAGRAM of the actual answer. As in a traditional crossword puzzle, the shared cell between an Across and Down answer must contain a common letter between the answer to both clues. But be careful -- there might be more than one letter in common! You have to determine which letters correctly fill in the grid to complete the first layer of this mystery cache.

The clues and the answer grid are below, with some of the letters already filled in. To get you started, the clue for 1-Across is Simba's call that has a logical (and in this case correctly interpreted) answer of ROAR. However you still have to use both logical and interpretive skills to determine where each letter is entered. For your convenience in this instance, I have done so for you (AROR), otherwise you would have had to deduce it using the answers to surrounding clues.
