Number 1214 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.
This letter box was originally installed for Farndon Post Office before it moved to different premises. It is now out of use but unusually retains its red colour. OOU boxes are normally painted black to avoid confusion. The telephone kiosk can no longer be used for calls following the removal of the phone but has been retained by the village.
