The cache is a small magnetic key safe placed on an old metal riveted railway bridge along the Mawddach Trail.
We have placed 3 No’ caches along the beginning of the Mawddach Estuary Trail between Dolgellau and Penmaenpool. From Dolgellau it is an approximate 2 mile walk or cycle to Penmaenpool along the old disused railway line. At Penmaenpool you can either turn back or continue on the Mawddach Trail all the way to Barmouth. Dolgellau to Barmouth along the trail is 9 ½ miles.
Please take the necessary precautions with the safety of adults and children as some of the caches are close to rivers, also take care when crossing the main road. Please be aware of bicycles travelling along the trail.
