This event is designed to allow geocachers to give a little back to the environment and community. Caledonian CacheFest wish to bring regular CITO events to our geocaching calendar.
At the start of the event a Health & Safety brief will be done, making everyone aware of how to handle the tools / equipment properly and any potential risks associated with the work they will be doing.
Rubbish bags, litter pickers, first aid kit and safety vests will be provided but we ask everyone to bring their own gloves please.
Group photo will be taken at 10:45am
General Advice
- Always wear gloves and use litter pickers (provided)
- Do not lift anything heavy without help.
- Use the right tool for the job.
- If you do not like the look of it, do not touch it!
- All children should be accompanied by an adult.
Gear you will need for the day:
- Sturdy Boots
- Waterproof jacket (incase of rain)
- GPS
- Food and Water
- Strong Gardening Gloves.
- Smiles!
If you are interested in coming, please post a note saying so it would aid in organising certain aspects.
Full rubbish bags will be left at an agreed spot for later collection by Glasgow City Council.
