The Old Granary Traditional Geocache

Another re-purposed building in Mt. Angel which is Great to see! The N. Schmaltz & Sons Warehouse (a.k.a. The Old Wilco Building) was originally built in approx. 1912. Later a gas station was added to north end of the triangular lot. Farmers Union Warehouse took ownership around 1940. It evolved into Wilco Farm Coop with a retail store, fertilizer plant, grain elevator, and grass seed cleaning operation. The buildings were in use by Wilco until 2002 when they closed operations in Mt. Angel. Over the last few years the buildings have started being re-used by the current residents you now see.
