IGO .… Do You CITO??

The Iowa Geocachers Organization has adopted this two mile section of highway for twice-per-year Adopt-A-Highway litter removal in the spirit of Geocaching.com’s mission of “Cache-In-Trash-Out” 
and we need your help!!
It's time for the fall version of trash pick up on this adopted section of highway in Clinton County by the Iowa Geocachers Organization. The time window chosen for this CITO is based on previous experience with CITO events at this location. With enough cachers (8 or more), this cleanup can easily be accomplished in about two hours. Smaller participation increases the time to finish our task, so spread the word to your fellow cachers!! 
In case of inclement weather, the 'rain date' for this event is 10/13/18 at the same time. Please keep this in mind, and if possible, please note in your "will attend" log if you are available for either or both days. No offers to help will be turned down.
The posted coordinates are where we will park and gather for a short safety and instructional meeting before we head out in teams to complete this community service. The parking location is on the north side of Highway 30 at Eastern Iowa Petro across from the entrance to the Equistar/Lyondell Chemical plant. Please come prepared with proper footwear for hiking, gloves, and any special ‘pickup’ tools that you prefer. There is NOT a nearby restroom, so plan accordingly.
The Iowa DOT requires that everyone wears a safety vest which will be provided to you, so please post the number of people attending in your ‘will attend’ log so that enough vests are available for everyone participating. If time and logistics allow, a group picture will be taken at the end of this event.
Please post your "will attend" SOON and maybe we can go out to lunch after, my treat. (I'm not above bribery.) This is my fourth and final trash pick-up for this section of US 30. I don't know if it's going to be renewed, but tis is it for me.
The more, the merrier!! With enough participants we should be able to knock this out in less than the time allotted. Spread the word to your fellow cachers to come to Clinton for this community event!! If we get enough cachers involved, we will finish early and there will be some time left to cache a bit.
