Před dvaceti let byla ukryta první keš. Sejdeme ve Žlutých lázní v Praze - Podolí abychom ve velkém stylu oslavili narozeniny geocachingu. Těšit se můžete na bohatý program včetně unikátní výstavy GPS Maze Europe. Buďte u toho!

Bylo nebylo... Tehdy, kdy 21. století bylo právě narozeným miminkem, kdy jsme všichni ještě uměli pracovat s mapou a buzolou a kdy satelitní navigace byla věcí stejně nepředstavitelnou jako cesta na Měsíc. Právě tehdy se vše změnilo. Americká vláda uvolnila 1. 5. 2000 armádní Global Positioning System (GPS) pro civilní užití a svět se začal točit ještě rychleji než dřív. A protože všude kolem nás jsou hračičkové, jedním z prvních využití této kosmické technologie byla - hra. Už 3. 5. 2000 ukryl jistý Dave Ulmer v americkém státě Oregon plastový kbelík s několika drobnostmi a souřadnice úkrytu zveřejnil na síti Usenet. FTF padlo hned následující den a další nové schránky a jejich nálezy na sebe nenechaly dlouho čekat.

• Vstup na zahajovací program v pátek je zdarma
• Na sobotní a nedělní hlavní program je vstupné 100 Kč na jednotlivý den. Plánujete-li dorazit v sobotu i v neděli, je třeba zakoupit dvě vstupenky.
• Děti do 100 cm mají vstup zdarma.
• Dopředu uhrazený vstup zrychlí průchod účastníků do areálu.
• Na místě dostanete identifikační náramek, který opravňuje k opakovanému vstupu do areálu po celý den.

Eventové geocoiny

Event můžete podpořit nákupem speciálních verzí geocoinu.

Všechny gigaeventové geocoiny, trička, CWG a další předměty byly zadány do výroby v prosinci 2019, tak aby byly hotové na plánované konání gigaeventu v květnu 2020. Proto budou mít na sobě letopočet 2020, i když se bude gigaevent konat v jiném roce.

Bude to připomínka roku, který zamotal všechny plány.

Once upon a time... When 21. century was a newborn baby, when we still knew how to use a compass and a paper map and when satellite navigation was as unimaginable as travelling to Moon. Back then everything has changed. On 1 May 2000 the US government has released the Global Positioning System (GPS) for non-military use and the world became a lot faster. And since we are surrounded by gadget lovers, one of the first applications of this space technology was - a game. Already on 3 May 2000 a guy named Dave Ulmer hid a plastic bucket with some trinkets and he published the hide coordinates on Usenet. The FTF was recorded on the following day - and new caches and their finds followed shortly after.

• Pre-paid admission will speed up participants' passage to the venue.
• Entry for Friday evening program is FREE
• Entry for main program on Saturday or Sunday is 100 CZK for each day. If you plan to come both days you need to buy two tickets.
• Kids up to 100 cm height will have free entry.
• On location you will receive identification wristband, which will allow you to leave and enter during the whole day.

Event geocoins

You can support the event by purchasing event items.

Geocoins, tshirts and all other items were put into production in December 2019 so that they would be ready for the planned gigaevent in May 2020. Therefore, they will wear the year 2020, even if the gigaevent will take place in another year.

It will be a reminder of the year that has tangled all plans.

Die US-Regierung hat am 1. Mai 2000 das Global Positioning System (GPS) der Armee für den zivilen Einsatz freigegeben, und die Welt begann sich schneller als je zuvor zu drehen. Und weil alle um uns herum verspielt sind, war eine der ersten Anwendungen dieser kosmischen Technologie - ein Spiel. Am 3. Mai 2000 hatte Dave Ulmer im US-Bundesstaat Oregon einen Plastikeimer mit ein paar Kleinigkeitenversteckt und die Versteckkoordinaten im Usenet-Netzwerk veröffentlicht. Die FTF fiel am nächsten Tag und andere neuen Caches und ihre Fünde ließen nicht lange auf sich warten.

Event-Geocoins

Sie können die Veranstaltung unterstützen, zum Beispiel wenn Sie spezielle Versionen von Geocoins erwerben.

Geocoins, T-Shirts und alle anderen Artikel wurden im Dezember 2019 in Produktion gegeben, damit sie für das geplante Gigaevent im Mai 2020 fertig sind. Daher werden sie die Jahreszahl 2020 tragen, auch wenn das Gigaevent in einem anderen Jahr stattfinden wird.

Es wird eine Erinnerung an das Jahr sein, das alle Pläne durcheinander geworfen hat.
