Geocache Description:

This is a Eureka cache. Eureka! Below are a series of seemingly random sentences, but each sentence contains a hidden element.  The elements all relate to a given theme.  It is your job to figure out that theme.  Once you figure out the theme, you should be able to assign numbers to the elements, and those numbers will be your coordinates.  Note: elements may span multiple words (punctuation is not included). This will be easier for some people than for others, depending on what knowledge you possess.  If you immediately spot an element, this puzzle shouldn't be too difficult, but not all elements are easily spotted.  If you are not familiar with the concept of Eureka puzzles, I recommend looking at a few to get an idea of how they work: GC2DZ2F.

Now for the puzzle:

1. My father considers our new sedan vital even though we did fine without a car for the past ten years.

2. For the base of your salad, you can use spinach, arugula, leaves from a pomegranate, or chard.

3. When Leonard managed to complete a marathon at 60, he declared himself retired, telling his grandkids, “sixty is my max run age – racing after that is risky.”

4. After placing the giant rainbow blanket in the washing machine, she wondered, will tye-dye get smudged when it comes into contact with detergent?

5. The botanist modeled his lab after the same ideals that his former school advertised – something about focusing the program on fostering a healthy environment for facilitating growth.

6. When approached by a suspicious looking guy - brown cloak, dark sunglasses, and creepy mannerisms – we sprinted in the other direction.

7. After the announcer read the name inside the big, black case, keen umpires waited eagerly for him to speak, all hoping they had been selected 2017's Umpire of the Year.

8. The ambassador asked that the diplomat try an apricot, which he had secretly poisoned as part of a murderous plot!

9. The head chef screamed in disgust when the sous-chef poured sprinkles on his cupcake, ruining the perfect swirl of frosting.
