Let's clean up Mailbox Mountain!
It's going to be National Public Lands Day and this is a fun local hike with a couple approaches. The gate is sometimes closed and locked in the evenings so if you're concerned about descent time make sure to park in the lot outside along the road. Also, remember to display your Discover Pass!
I'll be approaching via the old trail and taking the new trail down and cleaning up along the way.

There are three caches along the old trail exclusively, four caches along the new trail, and four that share the same trail (if you include GC1DDC4)
Plan for it to be hot, maybe smoky, and steep! Bring plenty of water and shade from the sun (hat, long sleeve shirt, sunscreen), and some trekking poles if you have them. It's also a good idea to carry a headlamp or flashlight.
I'll have gloves, trash bags, some trekking poles, and a first aid kit. DM me if there's anything else you think you'll need!
