Number 13. What do you think of when you hear that number? Friday the 13th? Unlucky 13? Did you know that 10 percent of the US population is afraid of this number? There is even a phobia called it, hence our cache title.
History shows that people see the presence of our unlucky number due to Judas Iscariot or the mischievous god, Loki. Some considered it lucky like Ancient Egyptians.
Whatever your ideas are, 13 will be where you find this cache. You will need to be aware of your surroundings and not walk under any ladders. You don’t need a rabbit’s foot to keep your luck intact. Just remember to reach up and strive to get it!
This cache is placed on at Fort Stevenson State Park. Fort Stevenson was part of the Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1804-1806. On its search for a water route to the Pacific Ocean, they spent more time in North Dakota than in any other state on their journey. Two of their campsites were located in the vicinity of Fort Stevenson State Park **
