[NL]Het Kruithuis aan de Delftse Schie is een voormalig opslagpand voor buskruit. Tegenwoordig doet het dienst als onderkomen voor de scoutingregio Delfland. Het Kruithuis werd in 1660 ver buiten de stadsmuren van de stad Delft gebouwd na de Delftse donderslag, de ramp met het oude kruithuis in 1654.
Het is gebouwd naar een ontwerp van Pieter Post en bestaat uit een poortgebouw met het wachthuis Kortegaard, verbasterd vanuit de Franse naam 'Corps de Garde' en een pak- en kuiphuis, waar het buskruit werd gewogen en verpakt. De twee kruittorens staan in het midden van de vijver. Het complex is ommuurd en van een slotgracht voorzien. Oorspronkelijk waren beide torens met elkaar verbonden door middel van twee valbruggen en een eilandje, die nu verdwenen zijn.
De beide toegangen tot de torens zijn voorzien van een tweetal dubbele deuren. De binnenste deuren zijn bedekt met koperen platen. Al het hang-en-sluitwerk is van koper om vonkvorming tegen te gaan. In de torens kon 400.000 pond kruit opgeslagen worden. De beide torens en het pak- en kuiphuis hebben een gemetseld gewelf en hebben aanzienlijk dikkere muren dan het gewelf zelf. Bij een eventuele ontploffing zou het dak de lucht in gaan en de muren blijven staan, waardoor er aan de omgeving veel minder schade zou worden aangericht. Aan de voorkant is een grote stenen brug, zodat het mogelijk is met een vaartuig het complex vanaf de Schie in te varen. Het poortgebouw is versierd met een fors wapen van de Staten Generaal. In de opkamer boven in het poortgebouw is een houten schouw aanwezig met daarboven eveneens in hout, het wapen van de Staten-Generaal. Het complex werd gebouwd in de stijl van het Hollands classicisme en is nog steeds in zeer goede staat. De aanlegsteigers bij de kruittorens zijn gereconstrueerd in de originele vorm.
Vanaf 1964 is het Kruithuis het onderkomen van de regio Scouting Delfland. In de westelijke kruithuistoren is het onderkomen van studentenstam De Delftsche Zwervers gevestigd. In de oostelijke toren zijn enkele spelonderdelen gevestigd van scoutinggroep Willem de Zwijger uit Delft. Het complex heeft overnachtingsmogelijkheid voor 74 personen. Het Kruithuis wordt voornamelijk gebruikt door jeugd- en jongerengroepen en scholen. De gemeente Delft is formeel eigenaar van het monument en voert controle uit op het onderhoud via de Monumentenwacht. Tot 1995 was het Kruithuis tevens het onderkomen van de studentenroeivereniging Proteus-Eretes.
De N470, de belangrijkste invalsweg voor zuidelijk Delft loopt vlak langs het Kruithuis en is hiernaar Kruithuisweg genoemd. De brug in deze weg over de Schie heet Kruithuisbrug.

The two towers and the suit and cockpit house have a bricked vault and have considerably thicker walls than the vault itself. In case of a possible explosion, the roof would go into the air and the walls would remain standing, which would cause much less damage to the environment. At the front is a large stone bridge, so that it is possible to enter the complex from the Schie with a vessel. The gatehouse is decorated with a strong coat of arms of the States General. In the upstairs room at the top of the gatehouse there is a wooden mantelpiece with above it also in wood, the arms of the States-General. The complex was built in the style of Dutch classicism and is still in very good condition. The landing stages at the powder towers have been reconstructed in the original form.
From 1964 the Kruithuis is the home of the Scouting Delfland region. The student residence De Delftsche Zwervers is housed in the western opening tower. In the eastern tower are some games from scouting group Willem de Zwijger from Delft. The complex offers accommodation for 74 people. The Kruithuis is mainly used by youth and youth groups and schools. The municipality of Delft is the formal owner of the monument and controls the maintenance via the Monumentenwacht. Until 1995 the Kruithuis was also the home of the student rowing club Proteus-Eretes.
