Kerran Peikko Pönteri päätti kalaretkelle mennessä oikaista tästä soramontun poikki ja huomasi siellä tokan poroja paistattelemassa aurinkoa. Niitä seuratessa hän istahti vanhan kuusen juurelle ja ajatteli, että tässähän olisi hyvä talon paikka.
