Patrick Brompton War Memorial is in the churchyard of St. Patrick near the outer wall at the side of the main road. The Memorial was restored in 2022; and the inscriptions face the Church. There is an adjacent wall stile
The memorial is a simple stone obelisk with a carved laurel wreath near its top. It stands on a stone plinth and commemorates 10 names from the First World War. It is dedicated :-
TO THE GLORIOUS DEAD WHO REST
IN THE DEEP SEA AND IN MANY LANDS
HAVING GIVEN THEIR LIVES THAT
WE MAY LIVE IN FREEDOM AND IN PEACE
1914-1918
The plinth carries the names of the 10 men from here who fell in the First World War
The co-ordinates bring you to the memorial and by using the inscription and names of those commemorated you can work out the co-ordinates for the final cache location as follows :-
