Read The Flippin' Handbook! Winter Geolympix 2018 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Simply Paul: I've decided to archive this as it's become (too?) hard to find since the Mega. Collected and removed today. Thanks for all the logs, and double-thanks to -KROP- for his help with setting it up. Until next time...

Geocache Description:

This geocache is NOT at the given co-ords. It's a Puzzle cache needing online teamwork before you can find the micro-cache, which is within two miles/3.2Km of this spot. Set for the 2018 Winter Geolympix, with permission from and help by the National Trust. If you intend to attempt an Unofficial Icon Challenge on the day of the Mega, you may want to leave this until then...

"There is no I in Team, but there is one in Winter Geolympix."
"Two, actually."
"There's always one."
"Two, actually."
"Where are you all coming from?"

Where indeed?

Geocaching is not really a team game in the conventional sense, but it does rely on teamwork. You need a setter and a finder or it's not really a geocache. Lots of families and friends cache as teams. And occasionally you find a cache - such as this one - which requires teamwork to find it. As Krop says, "One of the great things about geocaching is the opportunity to meet other people with a shared interest. For this cache, you will have to team up with other geocachers and work together to find the final co-ordinates. As per Groundspeak rules for all physical caches, you must sign the log to claim the cache! To obtain the final co-ordinates, your team must simultaneously click the Teamwork Required icon below."

28 people are
needed to trigger this!

This link is what you need!

Important to note team-members sharing a connection,
such as the same WiFi, will only count as 1 team member.

Why 28 people? One for every Mega held in the UK from the first in Harrogate in 2008 to the Winter Geolympix ten years and nearly three months later... Here's a handy bookmark list if you're interested in the history of Mega events in the UK.

Cache inspired by -KROP-'s Go Team cache in London: GC6DFME. My thanks to him for his help with this one too.
"One?"
"Two."
