Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden NEAR the posted coordinates.

THE LOCATION

The multiple stages of this cache are found on the beautiful grounds of the historic Samuel Lewis House, a Greek Revival style sandstone house built in 1825. The building has resided proudly on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP reference #82003636) since 1982.

The grounds themselves resemble that of a reasonably-sized wooded park and are open to the public during daylight hours. Furthermore, the business owner is an avid geocacher and is heavily involved in the placement and management of this geocache. Knock and say hello! He loves meeting fellow cachers.

The terrain for this cache is relatively easy. The land is flat and requires no climbing. The cache will require a bit of walking through the woods. A path will be developed in the coming months, but some bushwhacking may be required in the meantime.

In short, you will enjoy seeking this cache muggle-free and at a safe, public, historic site rather than some creepy backyard.

THE CACHE

This geocache is an amalgamation of all of my best hide ideas (aka gadget caches) that would undoubtedly be muggled if placed anywhere but here. Each stage requires no climbing AT ALL.
The most physically demanding stage is the first one and it involves a child’s toy. Every stage thereafter will require little to no physical effort- just solid problem solving.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CLIMBING INVOLVED IN THIS CACHE. SO PLEASE DON'T BE THAT GUY. Also, please no "cheating". (Especially at the first physical stage). I can think of several ways to complete each stage, but you and I both know there is an intended way of doing each. No using special tools, magnets, long tree branches, etc. Mmmm kay?

You'll be rewarded handsomely at the end of this adventure with access to a rather large container over-stuffed with a ton of trackables in this Travel Bug Bed & Breakfast. I'm sure they'll be well rested and ready to travel with you to your next cache.

Bring the kiddos! They won't be disappointed with the huge container of shiny new swag. Feel free to grab a toy for each cacher present.

GETTING STARTED

I'm finding most cachers are about 60 to 90 minutes to complete. Take this into consideration when planning. Geocachers on the grounds after 9:00 pm may politely be asked to return the next day.

Enter the property at the posted geocoordinates for this cache and then park at the provided parking waypoint. From here, make your way to the front of the building facing due south. There, take note of the 4 digit number clearly above the door before heading directly down the stone steps and walking due south. You'll know when you've arrived at the right TARGET. That's enough to get you started on this adventure...

FEEDBACK

Constructive feedback in alway encouraged. If you have an improvement idea, please message the cache owner.

Collaboration on additional, high-caliber stages will also be considered if you have a really cool idea.

RULES

Caching is only permitted from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Park ONLY at the parking waypoint.

If you enter the garden for any reason, please stay on the stone walkway.

Please be respectful of the historic property.
