Geocache Description:

The cache is a small lock-and-lock hidden off the Old Mine trail near the shore of the very beautiful Hidden Lake. The cache may be reached via the Three Lakes trail from Route 301, Sunken Mine Rd, or Dennytown Rd: follow the Three Lakes trial to the intersection with the Old Mine trail a short distance from the cache. You may also take the Old Mine trail from Sunken Mine Rd. You may find a trail map at https://parks.ny.gov/parks/attachments/ClarenceFahnestockTrailMap.pdf The parking and trailhead coordinates are provided for the Three Lakes Trail terminus on route 301. There is a water crossing on the Old Mine trail between the Three Lakes trail and the cache. It is not difficult, but does require some rock-hopping. Insect repellent is highly recommended during the summer season.
