A regular size cache hidden up the Fitness Trail which starts near the Route 82 entrance. You are looking for a plastic ammo box container hidden at ground level.
This cache is located on the Fitness Trail which starts near the eastern entrance of the park. A kiosk located at a small parking area has a trail map. The Lake Trail (white) starts just across the road. Keep straight on the grassy trail (blue) to hike up to this cache. You will see an old rock wall to the right on the way up. Continue up the hill to an overlook with views of the lake and the Catskills in ther distance.
Lake Taghkanic SP charges a $8 vehicle entrance fee. This fee is collected 5/26-6/24 weekends and holidays, and 6/25-9/3 daily.
