A regular size cache hidden near the Kiosk at the Route 82 entrance. You are looking for a square lock-n-lock container hidden at ground level.
This cache is located near the eastern entrance of the park. A kiosk located at a small parking area has a trail map and a park wildlife display. The Lake Trail starts just across the road. This is a good place to start the hike to several other challenge and bonus caches.
Lake Taghkanic SP charges a $8 vehicle entrance fee. This fee is collected 5/26-6/24 weekends and holidays, and 6/25-9/3 daily.
