This series of 8 caches starts at the lovely St Helens picnic site at Santon Downham and takes you on a walk of about 4km (2 1/2 miles) through Thetford forest, a small stretch on the road, over a railway line and then back alongside the Little Ouse river. Whilst this route may just about be buggy friendly it may be too difficult for wheelchairs along the last stretch by the river. You will need to get down 10 steps and the riverside path is very uneven and narrow in places. Children will need supervision too.
There is plenty of free parking near to the start of the series. Lots of space for picnic opportunities and public toilets (open during summer months). This is a beautiful place so please remember to take all your rubbish away with you.
Permission kindly given by the Forestry Commission and placed in accordance with their conditions. Please follow their guidelines and keep dogs under control and clean up after them.
