🇺🇸 Duga #1 🚀
Each over-the-horizon radar "Duga" consists of two parts : there are a transmitter and a receiver. The Duga-1 radar was located in the north of Ukraine. Its transmitter was in Chernihiv region (Ljubech-2 military town), and the receiver (the famous "Duga" antenna itself) was not far from the town of Chernobyl, in Chernobyl-2 top-secret town. It consists of two receiving arrays and an auxiliary system “Circle” located in 1 km from the main radar. Main antennas have different elevation as they were intended for different frequencies. The bigger array is 148 m high, the smaller one is "only" 110 m high. The total length of both structures is 750 m. The receiver complex of Duga-1 was in use till the accident at the ChNPP in 1986. The transmitter was dismantled after the collapse of the USSR. Now the receiver is abandoned but it is visited by many visitors from all over the world.

Радіолокатор Дуга 1 складається з двох частин: передавач та приймач. Радар Дуга-1 знаходиться на півночі України. Його передавач знаходився у Чернігівській обл. (військове містечко Любич-2), а приймач (власне, відома антена «Дуга» ) недалеко від міста Чорнобиль, на секретному об’єкті Чорнобиль 2. Вона складалась з двох приймачів та допоміжної системи «Коло», розташованої на відстані 1 км від основного радару. Головні антени мають різну висоту, оскільки використовувались на різних частотах. Найбільша висота – 148 м., найнижча – «всього» 110 м. Загальна довжина обох конструкцій 750 метрів. Комплекс-приймач Дуга-1 використовувався до аварії на ЧАЕС у 1986 році. Передавач було демонтовано після розпаду СРСР. Наразі приймач закинутий, але його відвідують численні туристи з усього світу.
