Geocache Description:


The church of St John's was built because the parish numbers of the church of St Denys were so great a new church was needed. The church was built on land in Boreham Road that was offered by Mr W. J.Temple. A building fund was started by Mr Temple and the Rev Phillips. The The Church was designed by G. E. Street and was completed in 1865.The Church interior has illustrations of scriptural scenes on the wall. I have 1956 a new parish of Bishopstrow and St John was formed.
