Pine Valley is a-changing ....
The Pine Valley Outdoor Centre is a well used community resource that is frequented by school groups, community groups and families alike. It is a not-for-profit charity that has served Marlborough children for many decades. Recent developments in the area have left the Pine Valley Outdoor Centre completely surrounded by vineyard. In order to bring back some of the 'forest feel', to support the local eco system and to limit the effects of vineyard operations on the camp, the PVOC committee has decided to plant the perimeter of the camp in native trees.
Team Walker NZ would like to invite members of the local Geocaching community to come along and lend a hand with the planting. It will be wonderful to restore a bit of wilderness and see the camp surrounded in wild green bush. Let's reclaim the camp!
We will begin work at 10.30am and will be on site for a few hours so come along when you are able. We will fire up the BBQ at lunch time for a sausage sizzle and a chin wag.
Bring along the kids!
Plenty of parking etc. Bring a spade ;-)
