Ragwort pulling at Horsbere 10:00 – 12:00

Parking: Suggested parking is in the car park at the provided coords, there is a footbridge to take you over to Horsbere. Or if there is space you can park by the gates leading in to the brook.
Where: We will meet in the Lond Meadow (published co-ordinates).
What: The rangers have initiated annual ragwort pulling in the Long Meadow. This has successfully limited its spread and reduced plant numbers. Although a habitat for insects, ragwort can quickly spread and is toxic to livestock. Join us to pull ragwort and reduce its numbers even more.
How: Felicity the Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and gloves, please bring your own if you prefer (gloves that is).
Health and Safety: Please wear long sleeves and trousers as the sap which can cause irriation. All health and safety rules apply. Children will need supervision and pets kept under control.
