*** Please bring a phone or IPad for the Kahoot Quiz at about 20.00***We are returning to the New Inn, because it is nice, local to me, and the landlord is happy to have us. I have booked the back room, so go in through the left main door and walk along the passage way to the back. There is also a pleasant garden if the weather is nice. The New Inn does food. Please note down in your ‘Will Attend’ log reply if you plan to eat, and I can let the pub know numbers. If you are coming by car please use the village car park in Trinity Road which is a two minute walk from the pub (see parking directions). There is virtually no parking in the very narrow High Street.
The building has been a pub on-and-off since the fifteenth century, but received its recent license in 1811 when the Royal Oak across the road in the building which now houses another business, had its license revoked due to continual ‘rowdyism’. The old timber construction of the building can be seen on the western exterior wall; the current cement facing was added around two hundred years ago.
The events are scheduled to take place on the third Wednesday of each month, at different locations across Sussex. Each event is hosted by a different cacher or caching team. Anyone who feels the urge to host one of these events, please contact Tootsie's Trackers (aka Paul) through his profile.
