Gazeley War Memorial is located inside All Saints Church in the village. It features the names of 15 men from the village who died in World War One.
The memorial is a wooden backboard upon which three tablets are mounted.
The central tablet carries the inscription:
‘IN MEMORIAM this Tablet was erected by the Parishioners of GAZELEY to perpetuate the glorious self-sacrifice of their fellow-parishioners who gave their lives in response to their Country's call during THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1919’.
The outer two tablets have gold wreaths above the lists of names.
The memorial was dedicated on 22 February 1920 by Rev. G.A. Chase, MA, MC, Fellow and Tutor of Trinity Hall, Cambridge.
Unfortunately it is only possible to view the memorial when the church is occasionally opened for services.
