Le vent et l’eau des rivières étaient les seules sources d’énergie dont disposaient les habitants du Quercy jusqu’à l’apparition de l’électricité. Bâtis en pierres au sommet des collines, les moulins à vent étaient souvent recouverts d'une toiture pivotante. Très peu ont survécu au 20ème siècle.
Le Moulin de la Bosse est toujours fonctionnel et des demonstrations de moutures ont lieu pour la journée du patrimoine de Pays en juin, durant l'été et lors des journées européennes du patrimoine en septembre.
Les ailes ont été détruites par une tempête il y a quelques années puis restaurées.
The wind and the water of the rivers were the only sources of energy which the inhabitants of Quercy had until the appearance of the electricity. Built with stones at the top of the hills, the windmills were often covered with a rotating roof. Very few survived the 20th century.
The Moulin de la Bosse is still functional and demonstrations of grinds take place for Country Heritage Day in June, during the summer and at the European Heritage Days in September.
The wings were destroyed by a storm a few years ago and then restored.
