What: A Cache-in-Trash-out (CITO) event
Where: Glencarlyn Park, Arlington, VA 22204
When: Sunday, May 6th from 9:00-10:30am.
Why: To give back to the community by picking up trash and recyclables and making the park extra clean.
Come on out, socialize about geocaching, and make a big part of the environment. I remember walking this park while placing my TRIBUTES17 multi and there was this one section in the southern portion of Glencarlyn that I felt needed a cleanup. Meet-up location will be at the posted coordinates, and we'll start cleaning from there and work our way towards both trails: the Four Mile Run Trails and the Washington and Old Dominion Trail.
Water, trash bags, and plastic gloves will be provided, though it is recommended that you bring your own gloves. Please also bring hiking boots because you will get your shoes dirty.
This event does NOT follow on a souvenir weekend, but we could extra hands to make this park extra clean.
