El Lugar
El ARA Comandante General Irigoyen (A-1) es un aviso-remolcador de la Armada Argentina. Pertenece a la clase Navajo de la Armada de los Estados Unidos, participando en aquella fuerza en la Segunda Guerra Mundial bajo el nombre de USS Cahuilla (ATF-152). Fue vendido a la Armada Argentina en 1961 renombrándose bajo nombre actual y puesto fuera de servicio en 2009. Es conservado como buque museo en la ciudad de San Pedro en el partido del mismo nombre, Provincia de Buenos Aires, República Argentina.
The Cite
USS Cahuilla (ATF-152) was an Abnaki class fleet tug in the service of the United States Navy during World War II. In 1961 she was sold to the Argentine Navy as ARA Irigoyen (A-1) where she served until 2009 when she became a Museum ship.
