Le Poron du cerveau
Le Poron du Cerveau est un bel exemple d’affleurement de la granulite, typique de celui qui affleure le long du Lac de Pont située dans la Vallée de l’Armançon, aux portes du Morvan et ses terrains très anciens.
Quelques definitions
Granulite : roche métamorphique finement grenue de la catazone caractérisée par la présence de minéraux pauvres en eau : grenat, cordièrite, hypersthène
Feldspaths (de l'allemand Fel = rocher, ou Feld = champ, et Spath = pierre fragile) sont des minéraux composées de silice, d'alumine et d'une autre base, comme la potasse, la soude ou la chaux
Les feldspaths sont d'un aspect brillant, présentant souvent en fragments réguliers qui ont la forme de parallélépipèdes oblique rectangles composés de 4 faces perpendiculaires entre elles.
The Rock of the brain
The Poron of the Brain is a fine example of granulite outcropping, typical of the outcrop along the Lac de Pont in the Armançon Valley, at the gateway to the Morvan and its very ancient sites.
Some definitions
Granulite: finely granulated metamorphic rock of the cataract characterized by the presence of minerals poor in water: garnet, cordierite, hypersthene
Feldspars (from the German Fel = rock, or Feld = field, and Spath = brittle stone) are minerals composed of silica, alumina and some other base, such as potash, soda or lime
The feldspars are of a shiny aspect, often presenting in regular fragments which have the form of parallelepipeds oblique rectangles composed of 4 faces perpendicular to each other.
