Barling Magna, a very old place on a creek at the mouth of the Roache. Thats how its discribed in Arthur Mee's splendid book on Essex, It boasts a excellent Village sign as well, nestling beside the duck pond. I have spent many a time beside this pond parked up in the tractor and shareing my elevensies with the ducks. I visit here every two weeks to cut the small school field, and I must admit this is one of my favorite little Village schools. Dont forget your scribbler and Oh, good luck to you.
If anybody would like to expand this series please do. I would just ask that you let Smokeypugs know first so they can keep track of the Village Sign numbers and names to avoid duplication.
