Geocache Description:

Over the years geocaching has changed a great deal. When this game started, most hides were regular in size and were packed with lots a swaps. There were many puzzles and multicaches that took quite a while to solve and then find. Most also had a small gift for the FTFer, or at least a certificate.

That’s a long time ago, and over the last 18 years (yes, geocaching started over 18 years ago!) the containers have become far smaller, swaps are far fewer, possibly because there is no room in the smaller containers, gifts for the lucky FTFer are a rarity, and most caches are now the simpler “Traditional” type of hide.

This cache is therefore going back to the good old days. It is a multicache with the co-ordinates of the actual cache hidden at the listed coordinates. It’s not a nano, nor a micro, nor a small… in fact it could be described as a ‘Mammoth’ cache! Having got the co-ordinates please ensure everything is replaced exactly as found for the next finder before heading off to find the actual cache.

This cache was used on Sunday 6th May at the Gnome Games. There will be many logged finds from that day. It was then placed on Monday 7th May in its correct location, prior to publication at noon.

A new log book has been added so that the first finder in its proper location can also claim an FTF
