This is a Treasure Hunt!
The treasure, however, takes more forms than one. Whilst there's the obvious final cache (and the bonus caches if you're determined) there's also the subject matter. As outsiders who like street furniture, when we moved to Edinburgh one of the first things we delighted in was Edinburgh's iconic police boxes and we think other people will also enjoy them. So! Hunt them out and earn your reward!
As you trek the beautiful city streets of Edinburgh looking for all those traditionals, multis and maybe a few puzzles keep this WherIGo in mind! Whenever you spot one of the city's police boxes open up the downloadable cartridge (dowload below) to log your find, it'll give a buzz, make a noise and keep count of how many you've found.
Due to the nature of the cartridge there are many (70+) simultaneously active zones meaning that this cartridge is ONLY PLAYABLE ON PPC DEVICES (that includes smart phones).
The cartridge has been rigorously tested in the Urwigo emulator and on wheryougo and Geooh Live for android as well as wherigo for iOS. If at any point you see a police box in the 'You See' section DO NOT click on it, it shouldn't be there and may cause the cartridge to crash. If you have any issues with the cartridge don't hesitate to get in touch. Ocassionally the boxes move around if you think you've found a location not in the cartridge then let us know and we'll check on it.
The cartridge will save as you go along so you can close it and open it as you please (although backups never hurt). When you've found 15 you'll be given the coordinates to find the physical cache. Once you've gone that far why not step up the difficulty and try the intermediate (GC7HXD0) and advanced (GC7HXD8) caches?

The design of this cartridge is heavily base on the 'I love' series of wherigo caches and wouldn't have been possible withough the help of that community notably PuhWutze, lisboa_bruno and no_lo. Please go and look at their caches and if you find yourselves in their cities then why not try out their wherigo's?
