Geocache Description:

Martin Luther King Jr Day - 2018

Reverend King asked,  “Life's most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?”

Mount Umunhum  is now open to visitors and as a result has seen something it had not in years - litter.  Mostly "micro litter" as one MROSD employee described it.  Gum, wrappers and other small bits tucked into bushes or simply dropped on the ground.  As there are no litter bins on the summit or at the parking area, rather than pocket and dispose of at home, people are leaving it here.

In the spirit of community service Geocachers are famous for, let's clean up the summit and trails and keep it the beautiful place it was on opening day.

CITO will commence Monday, January 15th at 9 AM at the event coordinates and run until 10 AM.

Bags and water will be provided.

As it tends to be cool on the summit, dress in layers to keep warm.  Gloves and pick-up sticks are a good idea, too.

Gate opens at 7 AM and remains so to a half hour past sunset.
