We are very blessed living in South Carolina that we have 47 beautiful state parks to enjoy. This cache is number two in a series of 9 caches that take you on journey throughout the beautiful Myrtle Beach State Park. There are also 5 additional caches located in the park for a total of 14 caches to be found. This park has so many different activities for everyone to enjoy.They have summer programs in June, July and August. A Beach Sweep is held the third Saturday in September. Take a Kid Fishing is held the third Saturday in October. Santa on the Beach is held the first Saturday and Sunday in December. First Day Hike is held on New Year's Day. Throughout the rest of the year various programs are held at different times. These programs are listed at the admission gate when you enter.
The State Park does have an admission charge, unless you have a yearly pass which is only available to SC residents at a cost of $99.00. If you are a SC resident over 65 the pass is half price at $49.50. Daily rates are $8.00 per person, or $5.00 for over 65, $4.00 for kids 6-16, and under 6 are free. We also own an additional 9 caches in the park, and then there is a multi, 2 other traditionals, and an Earthcache, so this will help to make the admission charge a little more cost effective per cache.
