Gobavica je grič 433 mnm, ki se strmo dviga nad Mengšem. Obisk je posebej primeren za otroke, katerim je na voljo otroško igrišče in mini živalski vrt s kozami, konji in vietnamskimi prašički.
Gobavica is a hill 433 above sea level, rising steeply over Mengeš. The tour especially suits children, as they are able to enjoy the playground and a mini zoo with goats, horses and the Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs.
Zakladek se nahaja v bližini vrha Gobavice. Do tam se lahko sprehodite po mnogih stezicah z vseh strani ali pa se s kolesom spopade z zares strmo asfaltno cesto iz centra Mengša. Ob poti se lahko razgibate na trim stezi s 25 vajami ali pa se le okrepčate v Mengeški koči, ki stoji prav na vrhu.
Z vrha je čudovit razgled na Mengeško polje, celotne Kamniške Alpe z vrhovi od Storžiča do Ojstrice, Velike planine, Lepenatke ter Menine planine. Levo od njih se vidijo Karavanke z Begunjščico in Stolom, na zahodu pa Julijci s Triglavom na čelu.
Cache is hidden close to the peak of Gobavica. If you want to get there, you can follow several paths leading from all directions or muster your courage to face a very steep asphalt road from the centre of Mengeš. Along the path there is a trim track with 25 exercises; the other possibility is simply to refresh yourself in the cottage of Mengeš, located at the very top.
The view from the top is splendid, affording a good sight of Mengeško polje, the entire Kamnik-Savinja Alps with peaks from Storžič to Ojstrica, Velika planina, Lepenatka and Menina. On the left side you can see the Karavankas with Begunjščica and Stol and on the west the Julian Alps with Triglav up ahead.
