This station ws opened on !st June 1907 as Lyons Crossing Halt. Later that year it became known as Ifield Halt. It was one of a series of unmanned halts set up by the London Brighton and South Coast Railway,to be worked by rail motor trains. It became known simply as Ifield Station in 1930. It is 51 km from London Bridge.

1) painted on a wall,black with yellow numbers =ABCD
2) black sign with white numbers and a T =EFG
3) white oval with black letters and a K =HIJ
