Geocache Description:

The event is a casual BYO picnic lunch at the Marina Park Gazebo, with the Donor Awareness Fountain nearby. It's a great opportunity for Geocaching Geraldton to have a casual catchup to start 2018 on a positive note and start brain storming for IGD too!

Head down between 11.30am - 12.30pm for a chat and snack with a beautiful view. Geokids welcome and Geodogs are allowed so long as they stay on-leash in the council approved grass/path areas and don't head down to the beach

I've chosen the Gazebo near the Donor Awareness Fountain for this catch-up as it holds special significance to our community and myself on a personal level. The Fountain is to honour and pay tribute to organ and tissue donors from the MidWest and to raise awareness of the importance of organ donation. This part of the beach is also more peaceful and less populated than further down at the Marina.

There will be some geocoins and path tags to score, as well as a Magic the Gathering trackable from the new Rivals of Ixalan series!

This event is to promote the next big geocaching event that is happening in Victoria, Australia.  These guys have put on 3 successful MEGAs in the last 3 years and this one has gone MEGA already!  It will be running on November 17 & 18, 2018 and is called “The Parkville Event”
