Just like last year, here is a New Years Day event that's pretty much the same as our monthly St. Peters happy hour. So after you tire yourself out on the annual New Years Day hike, come rest up in a friendly place. Or if you're like me and you don't get to the hike, here's an event you can attend after you sleep in.
Who: Geocachers Everywhere
What: Happy New Years Day 2018 Gathering
When: From 4pm to 7pm (but generally longer)
Where: Shamrocks in St. Peters Mo. (see listed coords)
Why: Just because!
I will reserve the tables just a little earlier than usual, at 4pm, but you can show up anytime after 4 and then stay as long as you want. PLEASE log a WILL ATTEND or even just a NOTE that says "maybe", so that the nice folks at Shamrocks can make sure they have adequate staff scheduled. Watch this page to catch any updates.
For the non-regulars here's the scoop...
This is a very laid back gathering at our favorite local place. This is a no smoking, sports and Irish themed restaurant with many, many TVs for football watching if that's your thing on New Years Day. I hear some folks like this...personally I'd rather hear a good caching story. This is a family friendly place so you can be comfortable bringing the kids along.
So come on by whenever's convenient. Feel free to stop in for a quick hello or stick around for some good grub. There will certainly be tales of New Years Day caching!
