Mrs 112358 and I will be visiting New York from England. This is an opportunity for geocachers from far and near who can be on Fifth Avenue on a Saturday lunchtime to meet for a brief chat.
This location has been chosen because it is quite near:
The Metropolitan Museum of Art (one of my favourite places in the world)
A couple of easy virtual caches
Some cafés in case of bad weather
The meeting point is the sidewalk on the west side of Fifth Avenue just outside Central Park. If you need to cross the busy road please take great care and cross at the nearby light-controlled crossing.
I will wear my GPSr and so should be easy to spot.
Look out for messages on the day if the weather is inclement (it is December after all).
Groups of more than 20 need permission to meet in Central Park, which is why this meeting is on a public road outside the park. If there are few enough people (which seems likely) and if the weather is OK, we may have a walk in the park afterwards.
