While looking for this cache, please stay on the trails. The
size of the cache is a 2" circular tube. There is a logbook and
room for smaller travel bugs.
While on your hike if you have time, check out the level of the
water in Wood Lake. The meter is located at the following
coordinates. N44.52.798 W93.17.349
Post the level online in your post. Today it is at "4.74". It
will be interesting to watch the level of the lake change in the
different posts.
Also, post online what you enjoyed most about the nature center.
List any interesting animals that you have spotted on your hike. If
you are not sure which animals are which, go into the Nature Center
and you will find answers to all the questions you have.
Please stay on the trails and enjoy!
There are many garbage cans along the trail. If you see any
garbage, please pick it up and drop it at the next can. Thanks.
If you really like the park, and would like to help support it,
consider joining "FOWL" (Friends Of Wood Lake.) There are brochures
with information on this in the Nature Center. The membership
structure will soon be changing to include free events for
members.
This is the first in an effort to connect other local Nature
Centers together and to promote responsible and environmentally
friendly geocaching. This one is a children freindly cache with the
exception that an adult will be needed to reach it, and we ask that
everyone please stay on the trails.
