Plaza Libertad "Madre de Ciudades"
Ciudad Capital de Santiago del Estero
Es la principal plaza de la ciudad, alrededor de la cual se desarrolla gran parte de la vida social. Frente a ella se levantan la Iglesia Catedral Basílica y el antiguo Cabildo (hoy Centro Cultural del Bicentenario "Santiago del Estero").
Cuenta con una importante variedad Lapachos en flor de especies de la flora autóctona y numerosos canteros con flores que le otorgan bellos toques de color. En invierno los lapachos rosados y blancos generan un ambiente maravilloso.
Monumento a Belgrano Hacia el este, se encuentra una fuente con motivos incaicos y juegos de luces que acompañan rítmicamente el movimiento de las aguas.
Hacia el oeste hay un mástil donde flamea la Bandera Retreta de la Patria.
En el centro se levanta la estatua ecuestre del General Manuel Belgrano, quien tenía raíces santiagueñas.
Hacia el sur se ubica la "Retreta" donde con frecuencia se presentan espectáculos folclóricos y se realizan exposiciones de arte.

En Argentina el Geocaching todavía no es tan popular como en otros países, y es común que los geomuggles roben los cachés por simple diversión. Por lo tanto, por favor busque y recoja el caché cuando nadie esté mirando, luego deje el caché tal y como lo haya encontrado y bien oculto, asegúrese que no quede visible desde ningún ángulo! siempre intente pasar desapercibido. ...y asegúrese de llevar un bolígrafo para firmar el registro!

Finals tips
In Argentina the Geocaching is not yet a game as popular as in other countries, and is common that geomuggles steal caches just for fun. So, please search and pick up the cache when no one is looking, and later leave the cache the same way and well hidden, sure that it is not visible from any angle!!!! Always try to pass unnoticed ...and be sure to bring a pen to sign the register!
