Verão 2017 - Póvoa de Cervães [Mangualde]

Uma voltinha para manutenção de containers ardidos e explorar “novos” caminhos, deixei esta cache para que se recorde o triste Verão de 2017 que deixa para trás a maior área ardida de sempre em Portugal, com o maior número de vítimas e maiores prejuízos. E que em meados de Outubro a floresta continua a arder graças a uma das maiores secas que há registo.
Nota - Quando criei esta cache (tarde de domingo do dia 15 de outubro) estava longe de imaginar a desgraça/tragédia que viria a acontecer nessa noite e madrugada (de 15 para 16) onde por toda a zona centro perderam a vida 41 pessoas, centenas de habitações arderam e milhares de euros em prejuízo relacionado com fábricas, máquinas agrícolas, viaturas, e tantos, tantos hectares de floresta e propriedades agrícolas reduzidas a cinza. Para a história irá ficar o número assustador de 109 mortes (64 do incêndio em Pedrógão em junho e 45 do incêndio desta fatídica noite de 15 para 16 de outubro) e centenas e centenas de animais domésticos, dos quais ninguém fala.
A cache – Para a ela chegar é necessário percorrer caminhos não recomendáveis a viaturas não TT e já no local, subir é preciso, mas sem dificuldades de maior. Quando tudo voltar a ficar verde as vistas serão, com certeza, mais bonitas, sobre o vale do Mondego e as estradas “serpentes”.

I decided to plant this cache, to remember the sad summer of 2017 that leaves behind the largest burned area ever in Portugal, with the highest number of casualties and greatest losses. And in mid-October the forest continues to burn thanks to one of the largest droughts that is recorded.
Note - When I created this cache (Sunday afternoon of October 15) I was far from imagining the misfortune / tragedy that would happen that night and dawn (from 15 to 16) where throughout the centre of Portugal, 41 human people died, hundreds of houses burned and thousands of euros in damages related to factories, agricultural machinery, vehicles, and so many, so many hectares of forest and agricultural properties reduced to hashes. The cache - In order to reach it, it is necessary to go through paths not recommended for non-TT vehicles and already in the place, climbing is necessary, but without major difficulties.
