Deutsche Beschreibung
Zunächst ein paar wichtige Hinweise zum Cache:
- Bitte verhaltet euch respektvoll und angemessen in den Gebäuden.
- Alle Kirchen haben nur eingeschränkte Öffnungszeiten; insbesondere am Sonntag Vormittag finden Gottesdienste statt. Während der Gottesdienste und auch bei allen anderen Veranstaltungen in den jeweiligen Kirchen ist kein Cachen möglich!
- Der Weg von Kirche zu Kirche bis zum Final beträgt ca 2,0 km plus ggf. Rückweg. Wie viele Kilometer ihr zusätzlich in den jeweiligen Kirchen noch umherlauft, lässt sich aber schwer vorhersehen.
- Wer mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln anreist, fährt am einfachsten mit der U1 bis Weißer Turm.
- Ich möchte in der Cachebeschreibung nicht die ganze Historie der einzelnen Gebäude abschreiben, von daher folgt jeweils nur ein-zwei kurze Sätze dazu. Wer mehr wissen möchte, wird z.B. bei Wikipedia fündig, man kaufe sich einen entsprechenden Reiseführer oder buche eine Führung (die gibt es z.B. in St. Lorenz sogar kostenlos).
- Die Stages sind alle mit Kinderwagen gut zu bewältigen, für Rollstuhlfahrer gelten folgende Hinweise:
- Die Kirchen können alle barrierefrei betreten werden.
- Teilweise befindet sich in der Innenstadt Kopfsteinpflaster und an manchen Stellen sind die Wege etwas steiler.
- Das Final befindet sich in ca. 1,5m Höhe.

St. Jakob ist die erste Kirche auf unserem Weg und Ausgangspunkt für den Jakobsweg (wer also später noch weiter möchte).
T = Anzahl der zugemauerten Fenster an der Front
U = Anzahl verschiedener Farben der Holzverkleidung der Orgel (nur die Farben an sich, ich meine nicht z.B. 8 verschiedene Rottöne)
V = Links vom Altar hält die Dame im grünen Kleid (nicht Umhang) ein Kreuz = 2, ein Kind = 1, ein Schwert = 3
St. Elisabeth N 49° 27.000 E 011° 04.180
St. Elisabeth ist die Kirche mit der größten Kuppel in Nürnberg.
Q = Anzahl der Figuren/Personen unterhalb der Kuppel in Bodennähe
R = Anzahl der Figuren unterhalb der Kuppel eine Etage höher
S = Anzahl der Säulen im Kirchenraum (auch halb eingemauerte)
Alternativfrage aufgrund von Bauarbeiten: in dem kleinen Bereich, den man aktuell betreten kann, gibt es blaue Quadrate an der Decke, diese Zahl sei S. Die Zahl R = S - 28 und Q = S / 5;
St. Lorenz N 49° 27.060 E 011° 04.700
St. Lorenz ist die größte Kirche in unserer Runde. Nach ihr ist auch der Stadtteil benannt.
F = einstellige Quersumme des Gewichts der ausgestellten Glocke in kg
G = BWW des Grundtons der ausgestellten Glocke (eventuelle Oktavbezeichnungen bitte ignorieren)
H = Anzahl der Orgeln (es zählen alle, im Internet kursieren t.w. falsche Zahlen) (wg. Bauarbeiten H = 4)
I = Anzahl der Figuren, die unterhalb des Sakramentshäuschens knien
J = Anzahl der Figuren, in der ersten Ebene des Sakramentshäuschens
K = Anzahl der großen, grauen Perlen am Rosenkranz, auch Engelsgruß genannt
L = sucht das Taufbecken. Auf dem unteren Gemälde am Altar nebenan befinden sie wie viele Schützen? (wegen Bauarbeiten gerade nicht zugänglich: L=2)
M = einstellige Quersumme der Anzahl der Orgelpfeifen insgesamt (exakte Anzahl lt. Infotafel)
Katharinenkloster N 49° 27.099 E 011° 04.927
Das Katharinenkloster wurde im zweiten Weltkrieg stark beschädigt und als Mahnmal in diesem Zustand belassen.
N = Anzahl der gotischen Fenster (Spitzbogen) - zugemauerte nicht mitzählen
P = Anzahl der romanischen Fenster (oben rund) - zugemauerte nicht mitzählen
(Es zählen nur Fenster, keine Türen, im Zweifelsfall zählt nur die Außenansicht, falls manch einer im Innenbereich einen Bogen zu erkennen meint, der von außen nicht sichtbar ist.)
St. Klara bei N 49° 26.920 E 011° 04.790
St. Klara gehört zu den ältesten Sakralbauten in der Umgebung und ist eine sogenannte offene Kirche.
B = Anzahl Bankreihen
C = Anzahl der Personen am rechten Nebenaltar oben
D = Anzahl der Personen am rechten Nebenaltar unten
E = Material der Wendeltreppe Holz = 2, Metall = 3, Stein =0
St. Martha bei N 49° 26.900 E 011° 04.835
St. Martha wurde 2014 bei einem Brand stark beschädigt und ist deshalb im Moment nicht öffentlich zugänglich.
A = Anzahl der Zeilen auf dem dunklen Schild mit goldener Schrift ohne die Zeilen St. Marha Kiche (also nur die Zeilen mit kleinerer Schriftgröße zählen)

English cache description
This cache shows you the historical churches in the Nuremberg district Lorenz.
First of all some important hints:
- You enter several churches, please be respectful towards other people and their religion.
- All churches have restricted opening hours. You have to go inside, so this is NOT a 24/7 cache. Keep in mind that Sunday morning is the ordinary time for church service. If there is a church service or another event running, then it is not possible to cache!
- The distance from church to church to the final is about 2.0 km plus the way back if necessary. How many meters you have to walk in each church is hard to predict.
- If you want to go by public transport use subway U1 stop Weißer Turm.
- I don't like to copy Wikipedia articles as background information for each church into this cache description. So please feel free to read Wikipedia, buy a travel guide or book a guided tour.
- All Stages are accessible with stroller. For wheelchair access please note the following:
- I guess all churches can be entered also with a wheelchair.
- Some areas are with cobblestones and sometimes the way is a little bit steep.
- The final is about 1,5m above the ground.

St. Jakob is the first church on our trip and the start point of the "Road to Santiago" in Nuremberg (feel free to join...).
T = number of bricked windows in the front wall
U = number of different colors on the wood panelling of the organ (only count e.g. blue, green, yellow and so on, do not distinguish dark blue, not so dark blue, blue, light blue and so on, just count one for blue
V = left from the altar, there is a green dressed woman. What does she hold in her arm? crucifix = 2, child = 1, sword = 3

St. Elisabeth is the church with the biggest dome in Nuremberg.
Q = number of "persons" are below the dome near the ground
R = number of "persons" are directly below the dome one level above the ground
S = number of pillars in the church (inclusive partly walled ones)
Due to reconstructions, only a small part is visible at the moment. Count there the number of blue squares on the ceiling, this number is S. Then Q = S / 5, R = Q - 28

St. Lorenz is the biggest church you visit during this cache.
F = one-digit digit sum of the weight of the bell shown in the church in kg
G = the key note of the bell (e.g. a=1, b=2, ...) (ignore the octave)
H = number of organs (please see and count all, maybe in the internet the number isn't correct) (due to constructions H = 4)
I = number of persons kneeling at the ground of the "Sakramentshäuschen"
J = number of persons one level higher in the "Sakramentshäuschen"
K = number of grey knots/pellet of the rosary, aka Engelsgruß
L = look for the baptismal font. There is an altar next to it. How many shooters are on the picture below? (due to reconstruction not accessible: L=2)
M = one-digit digit sum of the exact number of organ pipes (see information board)

The Katharinenkloster was havily damanged in WW II and was left in this state as a memorial.
N = number of gothic windows (that one with ogive, pointed arch); don't count any bricked windows
P = number of romanesque windows (without ogive, i.e. like a half circle on the top)

St. Klara is one of the oldest churches in Nuremberg.
B = number of bench rows

St. Martha was almost completely destroyed by fire in 2014. Therefore it is closed at the moment.
