Eckerö post- och tullhus byggdes 1828 och ritades av Arkitekten Carl Ludvig Engel. Huset ersatte det förfallna posthuset i Storby och blev Rysslands gränsstation mot väster under många år. Under tiden 1950-1994 användes byggnaden av den finska staten som semesterhem för Postens anställda. Sedan 1994 förvaltar Landskapet Åland över denna kulturhistoriska byggnad. Posthuset inrymmer i dagens läge postrotemuseeet, flera gallerier och utställningsutrymmen, ett café samt logi.

Eckerö Post and Customs House was built in 1828 and designed by architect Carl Ludvig Engel. The house replaced the derelict post office in Storby and became Russia's border to the west for many years. During 1950-1994 the building was used by the State of Finland as a holiday home for employees in the postal service. Since 1994 the province of Åland administer this historical building. Today there is a museum of the postroute, several galleries and exhibition spaces, a café and a accommodation.
